Retreat 2010 Infinite Cables

Infinite Cables
Learn to create cables that begin out of nowhere and end before the top of the fabric. These cables, also called ring cables and closed-ring cables, are unusual and make striking designs. This style of cable has been popularized by Elsebeth Lavold in recent years. We will learn to make both rounded and pointed beginnings and endings.

Skills Needed

Knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increases, decreases, comfortable working standard cables.

Skills Learned

Begin and end two styles of closed-ring cables.

Materials

About 100g of smooth, light-colored, worsted-weight yarn; needles to give a somewhat firm fabric; cable needle; stitch markers; something to mark your place on a chart.
