Retreat 2010 Lots of Bobbles
Bobbles, Bobbles Everywhere and lots of fun to make!
Bobbles are those fun and funky things that stick out of your knitting and give great three dimensional texture to your project. Your friends will beg to know how you added those balls to your hat and you can just grin and ask 'Which bobble?'
You will be learning multiple bobble techniques while knitting a hat in the round.
Skills required:
Knit stitch, purl stitch and comfortable knitting in the round Skills Learned:
how to make bobbles, knitting on double point needles. Materials needed:
Approx. 200 yards worsted weight, (18 stitches equals 4 inches) light colored, smooth yarn. Size 7 circular knitting needles or needles to knit gauge, same size double pointed needles, basic knitting supplies (sharp scissors; blunt tapestry needle; pen or pencil, notebook, stitch markers, tape measure and crochet hook.) Homework:
Cast on 70 stitches and knit 5 rows of 1 X 1 rib. Taught by Janie Cavalli
