Materials: Bring 1500- 2000 yards of worsted weight yarn, US 7 or 8 24" circular needles, notebook and pencil.

Homework: Work a gauge swatch (at least 5" X 5") in stockinette st.

This is a great project for anyone who can knit and purl. You will learn to read a pattern, circular knitting, the M1 increase, and felting techniques.

Increases and decreases are everywhere in knitting projects, but which one do you use? We will learn M1, Bar Increase, k2tog, SSK, SKP and how to make mirror image increases and decreases both knitting and purling. This is a beginner+ class. You must be comfortable knitting and purling.

Materials required: 200 yards of worsted weight yarn and US 7 or 8 knitting needles. We will be making sample swatches to keep for future reference.

You will learn how to knit and felt the whimsical Watermelon Bag, including how to read a pattern, understand how felting shrinks, M1 increase, picking up stitches, and three needle bindoff. This is a beginner+ class - you only need to be able to knit!

Materials required: Watermelon Bag Kit containing "Three Bags Fulled" book, Crystal Palace Fjord 2 balls Rose Petal, 2 balls Fern, and 1 ball Ivory and beads for finishing. 1 US 11 26" circular needle; US 11 straight needles for 3 needle bind-off are not included in the kit.

Materials: Bring 75 yards of worsted weight wool in one color, 50 yards each in 3 complementary colors, a size F crochet hook, and small 1/4" buttons for eyes. Stuffing provided.

Learn how to make two socks or two sleeves or two of anything at the same time using Magic Loop or Two Circular Needles. This is a great way to make sure your socks match and get finished at the same time.

You will learn to knit circularly using Magic Loop on a single long circular needle and using two circulars at the same time.

This is a beginner+ class. You must be able to knit comfortably.

Materials: Bring LIGHT colored sock yarn, US 2 or 3 double point, 40" or 47" long circular (Magic Loop) or 2 16" circular needles, size E crochet hook and coil-less pins.

Short rows are useful for shoulders, socks, and making fun stuff like toys. Learn how to wrap and unwrap short rows while making a potholder. This class will prepare you for Ellen's Toe-up Sock class and the Bunny Hop Bunny class.

Materials: Bring 200 yards of smooth, light colored chunky yarn, appropriate needles, and locking stitch markers or coil-less pins.

We’re liberating ourselves from the fear of how and what colors go together! We’ll be using watercolors to experiment and then knitting samples of color mixes.

You will learn color theory and some natural patterns like the Fibonacci sequence that make color mixes attractive.

This is a class for any level of knitter. We will knit swatches as homework.

Materials: Bring whatever you have in your stash and needles that will work and a notebook and writing implement for taking notes. Watercolor paints and paper will be provided.
