There are many different kinds of buttonholes shown on the web and in books. We will make several different kinds, including Ellen's all-time favorite, and discuss where and when to use them. We'll also talk about how big to make buttonholes to hold your buttons. Bring smooth yarn of any size and appropriate needles, stitch markers, and buttons. Taught by Ellen.

Duplicate stitching lets you add color to your stockinette knitting without working with two strands of yarn or cover up a mistake without re-knitting your project. This is a handy technique to have in your toolkit. Bring a 6" x 6" swatch of stockinette knitting with smooth yarn, a tapestry needle, and yarn to stitch with. Taught by Ellen.
